Reports on
countries adhering to the
Arab boycott of Israel |
|
Libya |
|
All goods made in Israel are prohibited for import.
A certificate of origin is required for all shipments which must be certified
by the appropriate chamber of commerce and then presented to the consulate for
approval. If the products contain any foreign components, the country of origin
and the percentage of the foreign components of each country must be indicated.
The certificate of origin must also certify that ship or air carrier will not
call and does not intend to call at any Israeli ports.
Any Arab
consulate except for the Egyptian consulate may handle consular certification
of origin. This is either because Egypt has some trade with Israel, or perhaps
because of the strained relationship between Egypt and Libya. |
