Reports on
countries adhering to the
Arab boycott of Israel |
|
Qatar |
|
Qatar is an active participant in
the Arab boycott of Israel, and as such has compliance requirements for all
imports, including:
Certificate of origin: All
imports require an original and one copy of the certificate of origin, which
must have the name and address of the manufacturer or the producer of goods and
the name of the vessel it is shipped on. Shippers also must include a notarized
statement certifying the document is true and correct. The appropriate chamber
of commerce must certify this certificate of origin, which must also be
legalized by a consular service.
Shipping company
certificate: The shipping company must supply a certificate that states the
ship is not an Israeli vessel and will not call at any Israeli port. This too
must be certified by the appropriate chamber of commerce and must be presented
to the embassy for legalization.
An insurance
certificate must be supplied and must state that the insurance company is not
included the list of companies blacklisted in the Arab boycott of Israel. This
insurance certificate must be certified by the appropriate chamber of commerce
and presented to the consular section of the embassy for legalization. |
